Zomato and Swiggy users are reporting that they are unable to place orders on the apps. Several users have reported a server error on their part that has caused orders to fail. Food-delivery applications Zomato and Swiggy are the two leading food-delivery services. Downdetector.com has also shown a huge spike in reports of outages.

There were over 700 reports of outages by Swiggy users at around 2 am. Reports of outages are still coming in, according to DownDetector. All metro cities are hotspots of outages. The outage has affected users in Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Chennai, Bengaluru and Hyderabad. Reports are also coming from other smaller towns.

Zomato users have shared more than 3000 reports of outages in almost the same time frame. However, the reports are slowly coming down. The same cities are reporting maximum cases of outages. The reason for the halt is not yet clear. Zomato and Swiggy may soon respond with a statement.

As of the writing of this article, the Zomato app is not accepting orders. The moment you open the Zomato application, the app says, “We are currently not accepting online orders. we’ll be back soon.”
