Xiaomi Mi Band 7 with Always-on-display and bigger screen launched globally

Xiaomi has officially launched a new wearable dubbed mi band 7 in the global market. This comes after it debuted in China last month. The smart band retains the same design as its predecessor, mi band 6, but adds some iterative improvements to the spec sheet. Some of its highlights include always-on-display, 120 sports modes and data analysis feature.

Specifications and features of Xiaomi Mi Band 7

Xiaomi Mi Band 7 sports a 1.62-inch AMOLED display with 192 x 490 pixels resolution. This screen is 0.06 inches bigger than the 1.56-inch display of Mi Band 6. Band 7 brings always-on-display to the wearable. This means that now the screen will show you the time all the time.

Xiaomi has also added a dynamic Mars wallpaper to the phone similar to MIUI 13. The display is now slightly brighter at 500 nits. There are over 100 new watch faces available for smart bands. The watch face can be tweaked with the proprietary Mi Fit app.

It comes with 110+ sports modes including four professional sports modes. It also has health-related features like a continuous SpO2 sensor to monitor blood oxygen, a heart rate scanner, women’s health tracking, and sleep tracking with REM and nap time quality support. It also has Personal Activity Intelligence (PAI).

It has a new data analysis feature, which measures your sporting activity and provides detailed information about your progress. It has 5 ATM water resistance rating.

The smart band packs a big battery. It has a 180mAh cell which is said to last up to 15 days on normal usage and 9 days on heavy usage. To recall, the predecessor had a 125mAh cell. Like its predecessor, the Band 7 has a magnetic charger which means you don’t need to remove the device from the band.
