The Xiaomi 13 Ultra is an upcoming flagship phone from the company that will likely bring more partnerships with German camera maker Leica. Last week, Xiaomi confirmed that the 13 Ultra will arrive later this month with confirmation of its camera capabilities. But there is no mention of the launch date of the phone anywhere in it. A new leak reveals that an e-commerce website in China has revealed the launch date of the Xiaomi 13 Ultra.
A screenshot of the home screen of an online retailer’s mobile app shows that ‘Xiaomi New Product Launch’ is going to happen on April 18 at 7 PM local time. While the banner in the app does not indicate which product Gizmochina has informed of That it could be Xiaomi 13 Ultra. Earlier, a report showed a poster with the Xiaomi 13 Ultra launch date as April 17, but there was no clarity on which market the date was for.
Xiaomi 13 Ultra launching in China on April 18, if true, would mean the global launch will happen a little later. Since Xiaomi gave the timeline for the launch throughout the month, it may try to lock down the launch of the phone in markets outside China within April. Anyway, Xiaomi will soon announce the official launch dates for both China and other markets.
In its post on Twitter last week, Xiaomi said with Leica, the Xiaomi 13 Ultra will be the first to bring “the latest optical system solutions for mobile imaging that have never been seen before.” Both Xiaomi and Leica have jointly developed what they call the Summicron lens. In a joint statement, both the companies claimed that the upcoming Xiaomi 13 Ultra will be the first phone to offer “outstanding optical capabilities” on wide-angle and telephoto lenses. In other words, Xiaomi and Leica have developed a camera system where not only the primary sensor but also the ultra-wide and telephoto sensors have a large aperture, a compact size and “high imaging performance across the entire focal length range”.
Techlusive once again appeared first after the launch date of Xiaomi 13 Ultra was leaked.
