The Xiaomi 13 Ultra will be the next and most high-end phone in the 13 series from the Chinese company. True to its name, the next ultra phone will come with an even better camera system. The Xiaomi 13 Ultra will take the Leica partnership forward with “the latest optical system solutions for mobile imaging that have never been seen before.”
Both Xiaomi and Leica have jointly developed what they call the Summicron lens. In a joint statement, both the companies claimed that the upcoming Xiaomi 13 Ultra will be the first phone to offer “outstanding optical capabilities” on wide-angle and telephoto lenses. In other words, Xiaomi and Leica have developed a camera system where not only the primary sensor but also the ultra-wide and telephoto sensors have a large aperture, a compact size and “high imaging performance across the entire focal length range”.

The latest Xiaomi 13 Pro, which also features Leica-tuned cameras, is already garnering great reviews, with some of them saying that the special modes deliver DSLR-level photography. Leica, which is a reputed German camera company, has not only enhanced the camera app but also fine-tuned the camera hardware on the Xiaomi 13 Pro to make it one of the best camera phones this year so far. The upcoming Xiaomi 13 Ultra is likely to surpass photography levels in what can be described as a “coming-of-age celebration of mobile imaging”.
Xiaomi 13 Ultra launch details
The company said that the Xiaomi 13 Ultra will debut in April and will be available in global markets in the coming months. This essentially means that the Xiaomi 13 Ultra is likely to launch in India in the near future.
Coming to its specifications, the upcoming Xiaomi 13 Ultra may feature a 6.7-inch E6 AMOLED LTPO display with QHD+ resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. It may be powered by octa-core Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor paired with up to 16GB of LPDDR5x RAM and 1TB UFS 4.0 storage. There can be four cameras of 50 megapixels on the back of the phone, including one inch Sony IMX989 sensor. You can get 90W fast wired charging and 50W wireless charging in the phone.
