WhatsApp has made our chatting sessions easier and easier. From something fun to something serious, it’s our messenger that is probably what we need and can communicate with people. However, even after a decade of presence, these people have entered our contact list. Conversations with strangers are not possible directly; We still need to save your numbers to start a conversation with them.
But, when there is a way! There are several areas of work that can help you easily overcome this traditional stereotype and send WhatsApp messages without saving people numbers. Interested? Read on to find out.
How to send WhatsApp messages without saving numbers?
Method 1
This is a legitimate work that comes from WhatsApp. It works for both Android and iOS users. You go to:
Step 1: Open any browser on your smartphone.
Step 2: Type this URL: http://wa.me/xxxxxxxxxxxxx, where the X code stands for the phone number along with the country code. You can also type http://api.whatsapp.com/send?phone=xxxxxxxxxxxx in the address bar.
Step 3: Now, replace Xs with mobile numbers. So, if the number is, say, “9876543210,” you need to type “https://wa.me/919876543210”.
Step 4: Before you tap the Enter key, check the details you entered and press the OK button.
Step 5: You will now be taken to another link, which will display your login number and the option to start sending a message in green.
Step 6: Once you click the option, you will be taken to the web version of WhatsApp where you will be able to start a conversation with someone without saving the number. The conversation on your phone may appear on the chat list once.
Method 2
If this is not what you want to do, you can also take the help of third party apps. We tried the Easy Messages app on both the App Store and the Google Play Store. You can also see the Click to Chat app.
Once you have installed the application, you only need to enter or paste the unknown number. Following this, select ‘Start Chat in WhatsApp’ to get directions to the app owned by Facebook to start the conversation.
Method 3
This is an option that requires some help from the Siri Shortcuts app. If you have deleted the pre-installed application, you can download it again on your iPhone. Here’s what to do next:
Step 1: Open the Shortcuts application.
Step 2: Tap the Gallery option in the bottom right corner.
Step 3: Enable a shortcut randomly.
Step 4: Once done go to settings, scroll down a bit and select the shortcut option. Now, enable the ‘Allow untrusted communication’ option.
Step 5: Tap on the link after so much Here, Add shortcuts to the shortcut app.
Step 6: All you have to do now is type in the number (including the native code), press OK, and now you will be able to chat with the number with the need to save it.
Method 4
Here are two strategies that work separately on Android and iOS. For iOS you need to go to settings and then select the privacy option. Click the Contacts option and allow sharing any contacts with WhatsApp. Once this is done go back to WhatsApp and select the new chat option. You will now be able to enter a number manually to start chatting with it. No need to save in numbers. Sadly it doesn’t work on Android.
However, Android users also have an executive function, especially for stock Android users. People can easily enter a number on the keypad of the phone app and press it to get several options long now, just select the three-dotted menu, then WhatsApp and you can easily send a message without saving it.
Method 5
It is hacked for both Android and iOS WhatsApp users. If you share a common group with unknown contacts and you want to send them a message, just enter the group’s contact details and select the number. A few options will appear and you can choose their messages in individual chats.
