Meta-owned messaging platform WhatsApp is rolling out a new feature for some beta testers on Android and iOS that allows users to see a list of groups that are similar to the contact they’re looking for.
According to a WABetaInfo report, beta users will see a new ‘Groups in common’ section when they search for Contacts in the search bar.
The new feature gives users more information when they search for contacts in the search bar.
The report states that it is currently available to a few testers, and is expected to be rolled out to more users in the coming days.
The feature is similar to the one introduced on WhatsApp Desktop, which allows users to view groups that their contacts are in without having to open their chat information to view the list of groups as usual.
Meanwhile, last week, it was reported that the messaging platform was rolling out a new “Approve new participants” feature in group settings for some beta testers on Android and iOS.
