Meta-owned messaging platform WhatsApp is reportedly rolling out a new feature that will allow users to save messages from disappearing on iOS and Android beta.
The feature has been rolled out to some beta testers after installing the latest beta version of the application from Play Store and TestFlight app, reports WABetaInfo.
With the new feature, beta testers can now prevent the expiration of some disappearing messages by using the “Keep” option.
Messages placed within a chat bubble are marked with a bookmark icon and are also listed in the “Place messages” section. Furthermore, users involved in the conversation will still be able to control the feature.
Users can unkey messages in chat using the “Unkey” option, however, group admins may be the only people with the ability to prevent messages from disappearing if they have restricted who can edit group information. Can
The report states that the ability to prevent messages from disappearing is currently available to some beta testers, and is expected to roll out to even more users in the coming days.
