watchOS 9. How to turn on Low Power Mode on Apple Watch running Apple Watch

Apple recently officially released WatchOS 9 and it brings Low Power Mode to Apple Watch. With Low Power Mode, you can expect to get a couple of hours of battery life on your Apple smartwatch. In this story, we’ll see how you can turn on the feature on your Apple wearable and get more hours of use.

Turn on Low Power Mode from Settings

step 1: Wake up your Apple Watch and go to Settings.

step 2: Scroll down until you see the Battery option. Once you see it, tap on it.

step 3: Again, scroll down and toggle on Low Power Mode.

step 4: Once you tap on Low Power Mode, you will be asked for confirmation, as well as what the feature will do. Scroll down and tap on either the ‘Turn on’ option or the ‘Turn on’ option.

The first will turn the feature on straight away, while the latter will let you choose a specific time period, then you can set the time period for how long you want the feature to run. You can choose between 1 day, 2 days or 3 days.

It probably shows duration because you don’t want to miss some important notifications as turning on Low Power Mode can delay some notifications and alerts.

In addition, this feature will also turn off some background health measures. This includes background heart rate measurement, heart rate notification and blood oxygen measurement.

Turn on Low Power Mode from Control Panel

You can also add a Low Power Mode option to your Control Panel and use the feature immediately without going to Settings when needed. Here’s how to do it.

step 1: Wake up your Apple Watch.

step 2: Scroll from the bottom to the top to open the Control Panel on your Apple Watch.

step 3: Tap on Battery percentage.

step 4: Scroll down and toggle on Low Power Mode.
