Apple has officially announced 14 winnersTh Repeat of the 2021 Annual iPhone Photography Awards (IPPA). The first place for the Photographer of the Year award went to Sharan Sethi from Pune, India. It comes as a moment of pride for the country.
Apple has selected Shetty’s photography out of thousands of entries in a total of 18 categories. The Capertino-based technology giant conducts photography competitions for iPhone and iPad users each year alone. After winning the first prize, Shetty’s film is called “Bonding”.
Shetty shot the photo with a four-year-old, iPhone X, not among the latest iPhone models. Shetty’s black and white photo shows Shetty’s “bond” with a horse.
When Shetty won the first prize for the Photographer of the Year award, the Grand Prize Winner Award will be given to Istvan Kericks from Hungary.

Apple has been hosting the Photography Challenge for the past 14 years. Each year, the Capertino tech giant opens competitions for iPhone and iPad users worldwide and receives thousands and thousands of entries. The top three winners of the 2021 Photography Challenge will receive an award to be announced later. Additionally, Apple has also announced winners for 18 categories individually, each of whom will be awarded a Gold Bar.
How to take part in the iPhone Photography 2022 competition
Apple has already opened entries in the 2022 iPhone Photography Challenge for iPhone and iPad users worldwide. The IPPA website clearly states that entry photos should not be published or edited anywhere else in a desktop image processing program like Photoshop. Entry submission deadline is set for March 31, 2022.
