Xiaomi launched its Mi Band 6 in China earlier this year. The device has yet to make its debut in multiple global markets, including India. Previously, the company continued to introduce firmware updates to improve the user experience, such as band updates to improve the user experience so that users can reply to text messages. In its latest firmware update for the Mi Band 6, Xiaomi has introduced another useful feature – the ability to use the Mi Band 6 as a flashlight.
Xiaomi Mi Band 6 v18.104.22.168 firmware update
The latest v22.214.171.124 firmware update brings the ability to use Mi Band 6 as a flashlight. This is not a shortcut to turn on your phone’s flashlight, instead, it will illuminate the band’s display in white.
Although the light is not so bright, it will still come in handy with enough light around the darkness.
According to a report by Tizenhelp, Firmware updates are currently being rolled out in Kuwait, the United Kingdom and the Czech Republic. It is expected to launch in other regions where Xiaomi is currently selling the Mi Band 6.
How to update
In order to update you must first ensure that you are in a qualified area. Then you need to update the MI Fit app to its version 5.3 from Google Play Store or Apple App Store. Then inside the app, you can check the update for the band and when it appears, just tap the update button. You need to be connected to the phone to update the band.
So far, it is not known whether Xiaomi will introduce a feature like Mi Band 5 in older versions of its Smart Fitness band.
