The Redmi Note 10, again for the original foundations of the Poco M3, is priced at Rs 500

Redmi Note 10, Poco M3 prices increase again by Rs 500 for base models

Silent price increases are much more common nowadays, especially with Shaomi. After answering the price of the Redmi Note 10 a few times, the company has repeated its move again. Xiaomi is now demanding Rs 500 more for the base version of the handset, which has increased the overall price by Rs 2,000. And, brother Poko is not behind.

Redmi’s “Crazy and Rad” brother has also increased the price of Poco M3 by Rs 500. Instead of limiting the bump to the original version, Poco has applied the same for the mid-tier variant. The base version of the Poco M3 with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage is now priced at Rs 10,999 while the mid-tier variant with 6GB RAM and 64GB storage is priced at Rs 11,999.

Xiaomi, Poko raised prices again

Both companies did not give a specific reason for the price increase, although rumors indicate that the lack of chips is one of the main reasons. The Poco M3 runs on Snapdragon 662 and the Redmi Note 10 relies on Snapdragon 678. Report GizmoChina suggested that Xiaomi stop production of the Redmi Note 10 in Indonesia due to chip shortages.

With the latest price adjustment, the base variant of the Redmi Note 10 has now moved closer to the Redmi Note 10S. The 4GB variant is now priced at Rs 13,999 and the 6GB variant is still priced at Rs 15,499. The Redmi Note 10S starts at Rs 14,999 for the base version with 6GB RAM and 64GB storage. For those who can expand their budget a bit, the Redmi Note 10S is a good choice.

The Redmi Note 10S gets a faster MediaTek Helio G95 chip, a better 64-megapixel main camera and a slightly tweaked design. At the time of launch, the Redmi Note 10S made no sense due to the aggressive price of the base version of the Redmi Note 10 Pro being close to the previous ones. However, that is no longer the case, as the Redmi Note 10 Pro is now priced at Rs 17,999 instead of the previous Rs 15,999.

A few weeks ago, Xiaomi discontinued the base variants of the Redmi Note 10 Pro and Redmi Note 10 Pro Max. Both the phones are now standard with 128GB storage and differ only in RAM capacity.
