The next Motorola Razr foldable phone is shown off in the latest teaser

Motorola is rumored to launch not one but two foldable phones this year. While a launch timeline is unclear, Motorola has come forward and cleared the air by posting a teaser. The teaser sheds light on what to expect from the display of the foldable, at least confirming the Motorola Razr phone.

On Weibo, Motorola has posted a teaser that shows the outline of the upcoming foldable phone. Reports say there will be a Motorola Razr Plus and Motorola Razr Lite, and although it’s hard to tell what this silhouette represents, the teased specifications point to a Plus model.

For example, the poster says that the phone’s external display is “without shared pool” – which is a Chinese to English translation. While there is no word on it in terms of display, a previous report suggested that the outer display of one of Motorola’s upcoming foldable phones will feature an under-display camera.

Also, the internal display of the teased Motorola Razr Foldable could offer a claimed refresh rate. Foldable phones with 120Hz screens are already available, so Motorola might be teasing a 144Hz screen on its next Razr foldable phone.

Responding to Motorola’s post on Weibo, a user @sunniton posted a never-seen-before image of the Motorola Razr Plus. This picture provides a better understanding of what to expect. There are two cameras on what looks like a glossy cover on the exterior of the phone. However, the display is not visible so we will have to wait to know more about the specifics of the display.

Motorola’s upcoming Razr Plus may also arrive in markets outside China. It has been spotted on certification platforms in countries including India and Canada. But instead of carrying the original name, this upcoming Motorola foldable could arrive as the Razr 40 Ultra in India and other markets. We will know more about the upcoming Motorola foldable phone in the coming days.
