Street Fighter 6 is finally coming, release schedule set for summer 2022


Capcom has announced its highly anticipated Street Fighter 6 game in a new teaser trailer, with more to come this summer. The teaser trailer shows Ryu preparing for a face-off against newcomer Luke. The announcement of Street Fighter 6 coincided with the 35th anniversary of the franchise.

While the teaser trailer doesn’t show Ryu and Luke’s business setbacks, it does feature a much more realistic and serious fight scene than the earlier entries in the series.

The teaser trailer shows Ryu and Luke, but doesn’t reveal much about the upcoming Street Fighter 6 game. In addition to the teaser trailer, Capcom has updated the game’s website to reveal that “more news will be Summer 2022.” Looking at the time frame, it looks like the company will reveal more details about the game during the E3 game convention.

Capcom is finally moving on from Street Fighter 5 to Street Fighter 6 after six years. We just hope, that 6th Edition doesn’t suffer from lack of content, bugs and server issues, all of which were faced at the time of Street’s release. Fighter 5 for PS4 and PC in 2016.

Along with Street Fighter 6, Capcom also revealed its upcoming Capcom Fighting Collection. Capcom Fighting Collection is a compilation of ten classic games that will be released on June 24 for PS4, Xbox, PC and Nintendo Switch. This will include Darkstalkers: The Knight Warriors, Knight Warriors: Darkstalkers Revenge, Vampire Hunter 2. : Darkstalkers Revenge, Vampire Savior: The Lord of Vampire, Vampire Savior 2: The Lord of Vampire, Hyper Street Fighter II: The Anniversary Edition, Red Earth, Super Gem Fighter Mini Mix (Pocket Fighter), Cyberbots: Full Metal Madness, and Super Puzzle Fighter II Turbo.
