Sony PS5 sales began globally during the 2020 holiday season and they started retailing in India early last year. Despite being over a year old, the console is still a rarity. Gaming consoles often go out of stock in minutes if not seconds. This time could be no different. Sony is expected to retail a limited number of units across all websites and retail stores in the country.

To increase your chances, there are some tips and tricks that may help some. However, don’t assume this to guarantee a successful purchase.

Basic tips and tricks for trying your hand at Sony PlayStation 5 or Sony PlayStation 5 Digital Edition:

Use multiple marketplaces to pre-book gaming consoles. Ideally, you should do this on every device available to increase your chances. However, while opening more than one tab, make sure that your laptop/desktop is not stuttering or lagging. In that case, pay attention to a few select retailers.

Get help from friends or family. Adding another person with you to pre-book a new PS5 increases your chances by 100 percent. Let the person helping you make the booking on a different device and ideally a different but stable internet connection

You may notice that the come soon button suddenly changes to ‘Out of Stock’. It may be an error or some people may not be able to complete their transaction. You should wait a little longer to be sure. Sometimes servers get overloaded and websites start showing stock minutes after the appointed time of 12 noon. Initially, some buyers were able to book their consoles even after the 12 noon deadline.

You should log-in to all websites and save your payment information ahead of time. This console helps a lot during those last seconds of booking. Be prepared with multiple payment options.
