After first appearing at E3 2018, Ubisoft has finally announced its open-world pirate simulator game, ‘Skull and Bones’. The game is now fully revealed by the studio and has also shared gameplay featuring in-game elements.
Skull and Bones release date
The pirate game will be available to play from 8th November this year. Ubisoft will officially release the game for consoles and PC, including Xbox Series X, Series S, PlayStation 5, and Steam. It will also be available on Ubisoft Connect, Amazon Luna and Google Stadia.
Open-world game with no campaign
Skull and Bones will be set in an open world environment and, unlike other Ubisoft games, does not feature any type of campaign.
However, as you progress along your journey, you will meet many people and characters who will have some background. But other than that, if you’re thinking about it, it won’t be anything like a story-driven game or Assassin’s Creed: Blaze Flag.
In contrast, the game will offer a PvP experience and is believed to have been played as a live game for years with no endings or cut scenes. Since this is a PvP game, there will be servers of up to 20 people on each server. You can also play solo in this game.
Story set in the Indian Ocean
The story will be set in the golden age of piracy, in a world inspired by the Indian Ocean. The game will begin after surviving a shipwreck, you will be an outcast at first, and as you play within the game, you can become the kingpin.
But as stated above, it won’t be a story mode, which means you can play it as long as you want to complete activities and contracts with ships. As well as keeping your area at sea safe from other pirates.
As you will be the captain of the ship, you will need to feed and control the crew, as they can take action against you. Meanwhile you will also face other pirates. That said, survival is the prime goal first and foremost. Hunting, collecting gold and ruling the sea are all things you can do in Skull and Bones.
The post Skull and Bones finally releasing in November will feature a different experience that first appeared on BGR India.
