State Bank of India (SBI) is warning its users to link their Aadhaar and PAN numbers if they have not done so yet. Users who have already linked to Pan and Aadhaar can relax. State Bank of India made the announcement on Twitter from its official social media handle.
“We are advising our customers to connect their PAN to Aadhaar so that there is no hassle and continue to enjoy seamless banking services,” the official tweet from the official State Bank of India Twitter handle said.
SBI has warned users that if PAN and Aadhaar are not linked, “PAN will be inactive / disabled and cannot be cited to handle certain transactions.”
The last date for linking PAN and Aadhaar is September0, 2021. So, there is a lot of time on hand to do the necessary work
To quickly link PAN and Aadhaar, State Bank of India is asking users to switch to the new IT portal at https://www.incometax.gov.in/iec/foportal/.

How to link Pan-Aadhaar through new IT portal
Step 1: Go to the new IT portal or just click on https://www.incometax.gov.in/iec/foportal/
Step 2: Scroll down the homepage and click on the Link Aadhaar option. Or click on the direct link: https://eportal.incometax.gov.in/iec/foservices/#/pre-login/bl-link-aadhaar
Step 3: You will need to enter some details including PAN, Aadhaar number, Aadhaar name and 10-digit mobile number.
Step 4: You will then need to check “I only have the year of birth on my Aadhaar card” and “I agree to verify my Aadhaar details”.
Step 5: Then you can click on Link Aadhaar option.
