Xiaomi is rumored to launch the Xiaomi 13 series in China soon, along with rumors that the Redmi K60 series will also debut soon. Tipster Kacper Skrzypek has revealed that the Redmi K60 series will include the Redmi K60, Redmi K60 Pro, and Redmi K60E models. He further revealed the storage, codename, chipset, and specifications. The smartphone series is expected to launch in December.
According to the tipster’s tweet, the three phones in the Redmi K60 series, the vanilla K60, K60 Pro and K60E, are codenamed “Socrates”, “Mondrian” and “Rembrandt” respectively. Additionally, they are expected to be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1, and MediaTek chipsets, respectively. Redmi K60E is likely to come with Dimensity 9200 or Dimensity 8200 processor.
Xiaomi will release at least 3 devices in the Redmi K60 series: K60, K60 Pro and K60E. The K60, codenamed Socrates, uses the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. The K60 Pro uses a Mondrian, Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 (don’t ask why), and the K60E will use a Rembrandt, MediaTek CPU (IDK which one yet, maybe the Dimensity 9200?)

For the unversed, Xiaomi is likely to launch the Xiaomi 13 in India soon as the smartphone was spotted on the BIS website.
As for its specifications, the Xiaomi 13 series is rumored to pack Qualcomm’s upcoming Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor. Qualcomm is expected to launch the processor later today, and by launching its next flagship within this year, Xiaomi may try to become the first brand to introduce a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 powered phone. Last year too Xiaomi wanted to do the same, but Motorola beat it. Xiaomi 13 is likely to come with a 6.2-inch full-HD+ AMOLED display with high refresh rate. It may use a 50-megapixel camera system at the back and bring MIUI 14 out-of-the-box.
The chipset, storage and more details were first revealed by BGR India after Redmi K60 series leaks.
