Realme GT 2 Pro launched in India: Cheapest smartphone with Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chip

Pricing and Availability

Realme GT 2 Pro has been launched in two variants. The first variant that comes with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage has been priced at Rs 44,999 (starting price). The second variant has been launched with 12GB RAM and 256GB internal storage and will cost you Rs 52,999 (starting price). The base price of the 8GB/128GB variant is Rs 49,999. The new Realme smartphone will be made available through the company’s official store and Flipkart. The first sale will be held on April 14 at 12 noon. Buyers will have three color options to choose from. The colors are Paper White, Paper Green and Steel Black.

Realme GT 2 Pro Specifications

The Realme GT 2 Pro is an out-and-out flagship in terms of specifications. Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset is available in the device. Realme claims that the device has the largest heat dissipation zone in the industry. Considering that other Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 phones have heating issues, this could help boost the overall performance.


The back panel of the Realme GT 2 Pro is made of bio-polymer material, which gives it a unique paper-like look. The back panel is engraved with a laser-cut design to create grooves that provide a unique texture to the back panel.


The phone has a 2K resolution display with 120Hz refresh rate. The screen is an LTPO2 AMOLED panel which will help save battery as the display can go up to a refresh rate of just 1Hz. The phone gets protection from the use of Gorilla Glass Victus at the front.


The Realme GT 2 Pro comes with a triple-lens setup. It houses a 50-megapixel primary camera that uses an IMX766 Sony sensor. There is also a second camera module in the phone and it is a 50-megapixel unit. This module is an ultra-wide-angle lens that supports up to 150-degree field of vision. The third lens is a 40X micro lens which can enable a new ‘microscope’ camera feature on the device.


The phone packs a 5000mAh battery pack with the device which can support fast charging up to 65W. The phone gets a USB Type C port for charging the device. There is no 3.5mm headphone jack.
