Realme today launched a new budget smartphone in India. The newly launched phone is dubbed as Realme C55 and it joins other C-series smartphones from the company such as Realme C33 2023, Realme C33 and Realme C30s. In India, the newly launched budget smartphone from Realme competes with the likes of Realme 10, Poco M5 and Redmi 11 Prime 5G. The most notable feature of the phone is the mini-capsule-like notch on the iPhone 14 Pro with dynamic lighting. This mini capsule shows a variety of information such as daily steps, battery level, charging level and daily data usage.

Realme C55 price and availability in India

Realme C55 comes in three variants in India. The base variant comes with 4GB RAM and 64GB and costs Rs 10,999, the second variant with 6GB RAM and 64GB storage costs Rs 11,999. The top variant with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage costs Rs 13,999. The phone will be available for pre-order on Flipkart from March 21 to March 27. It will be available for the first sale on March 28 at 12 noon on realme.com, Flipkart and offline stores.

As part of the launch offer, realme is offering up to Rs 1,000 instant discount on ICICI Bank credit card, debit card and EMI transactions. The company is also offering Rs 1,000 off on exchange.

Coming to the specifications, the Realme C55 sports a dual-textured design and comes in Sunshower and Rainy Night color variants. It is 7.89mm thin. Realme says that the Realme C55 is the thinnest C-series smartphone ever and one of the thinnest devices ever, including its flagship devices. The phone comes with a 6.72-inch IPS Full HD+ display with 1080 x 2400 resolution, 90Hz screen refresh rate, 680 nits peak brightness, 91.4 screen-to-body ratio, and a punch-hole design. It is powered by the MediaTek Helio G88 system-on-chip coupled with up to 8GB of dynamic RAM and 128GB of storage space. It runs Realme UI 4.0 based on Android 13 out-of-the-box.

The Realme C55 sports a dual-rear camera setup that houses a 64MP lens along with a 1/2-inch image primary sensor. This includes the company’s ProLight imaging technology for better images in low light conditions, Bokeh Mode, Digital Image Stabilization Snapshot Mode and AI Color Portrait Mode etc. On the battery front, the Realme C55 packs a 5,000mAh battery with a 33W SuperVOOC fast charger that charges up to 50 percent in about 29 minutes.
