There were rumors of launching Realme 8i and 8s phones as part of Realme’s 8 series. It has now been confirmed that it will be launched in India soon. As part of the recent ‘Askmadhav’ episode, the company’s CEO Madhav Seth has revealed that the phones will be launched in India soon.
It comes after Realm finally announced the Indian launch date for the much-talked-about Realm GT, which is set for August 18th.
The new Realme 8 phone is coming soon
The Realme 8i and 8 will join the existing Realme 8, 8 Pro and 8 5G in India. Although there is no detailed information about the phone, we have some rumors to see.
The 8s will come with a 6.5-inch display with a 90Hz refresh rate and will be powered by a MediaTek Dimension 810 chip. We can expect up to 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of internal storage options.
On the front of the camera, there may be support for dual rear cameras (64-megapixel, 16-megapixel). Details of other cameras remain unknown. The phone is expected to be powered by a 5000 mAh battery and comes with 33W fast charging. It will probably support 5G and run Android 11 on top with Realme UI 2.0.
About Realme 8i, not much is known. However, it is expected to come with a 5,000mAh battery, just like the 8s. However, there is a possibility that it may only support 4G.
Both the upcoming Realme phones are expected to fall into the budget price category. However, a confirmed launch date is still behind the scenes. We will let you know if more details pop up.
In related news, Realme GT will finally enter this month. It will bring Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 chip, 120Hz display, 64-megapixel rear camera, 65W fast charging and much more. It is expected to drop below Rs 30,000 to compete with IQOO 7 Legend, Mi 11X Pro and many more. A Realme GT Master Edition will also be launched.
