According to market surveys and research conducted over the past few years, the two most popular sizes of TV screens are: 32-inch and 43-inch. Realm probably understands the market trends quite well and wants to capture as many customers as possible with the latest offers consisting of Realmy Smart TV Full HD 32-inch and Realmy Smart TV 4K 43-inch.
Realmy entered the smart TV segment in India last year and in such a short span of time the company has already offered a wide variety of smart Android TVs. The latest Realme Smart TV 32 inch TV is different from the old 32 inch model. The new one offers a full HD viewing experience at a relatively inexpensive price. The Smart TV comes at a price of Rs 18,999 and can be purchased from Realme.com, Flipkart.com or other offline stores across the country.
With the latest Realme Smart TV Full HD-2 Inch, the Chinese technology company aims to take the choice of competitive devices from brands like Xiaomi, Samsung, TCL, LG, etc. I have been using Realmy Smart TV 32 inch for the last one month and believe it is one of the best options to consider if you want to buy your first Android TV.
Realme Smart TV Full HD 32-inch price in India: Rs.18,999
Realme Smart TV Full HD 32 Inch Specification: 32 inch full HD display | Chroma Boost Picture Engine | 24W quad stereo speaker | Dolby Audio | MediaTek 64-bit processor | Netflix and Amazon Prime support Android TV Software | 1 GB RAM RAM | 8GB storage
Design and build
Most of the smart TVs in this price segment look the same and Realme Smart TV Full HD is not 32 inches different. As far as design is concerned, the 32-inch Realm Smart TV looks like any other smart Android TV available in the price segment. While smart TVs don’t look so bad, there’s no reason to be naive about the design. By packing a plastic build, the smart TV provides a good build quality, which is rarely available at this price.
The Realm Smart TV Full HD looks decent in 32-inch black and the thin bezel on the side adds to the overall design. The chin below has the “Realm” brand logo. On the back, the smart TV has some ports in the middle, including HDMI x 3, USB x 2, AV, LAN, digital audio output and ANT.
Realm smart TVs can be hung either on a table or on a flat surface or on a wall. I placed a Realmy Smart TV Full HD-2 inch on a glass surface in my drawing room and could easily reach the port. If you hang the TV on a wall, you will still be able to reach the port easily. The Realm Smart TV Full HD 32-inch ship has two stands to hold on two flat surfaces.
I could easily set up my own TV and didn’t need a technician, which is a good thing during this difficult COVID-19. Another good thing about Realme Smart TV Full HD 32 inches is its light weight.
How to sit
Realme Smart TV Full HD 32 Inch is extremely easy to set up, and anyone can do it. The smart TV comes with a table stand, so if you want to place it on a flat surface, fix two stands with the TV. This is going to take about 5 minutes. Be sure to fasten the screws tightly so that the stands do not break at any time. If you want to hang the TV on the wall of your bedroom, you need to buy a hanging stand separately, which is readily available in both online and offline stores.
Once the setup is complete, power on the bundled remote to the Android TV. The remote has minimal buttons, which makes it easy to use. It includes Netflix, Prime, Google Assistant, Settings, YouTube and many more that let you move from one platform to another with one click.
To set it up, you need to turn on the device and then wait a few seconds for it to boot. To begin the setup process, connect it to a stable WiFi network and then login to your Google Account for detailed information and better advice. To add this description, simply click on the remote setting option. If you have an active cable connection, connect the HDMI cable and go to the Live TV option displayed on the home screen.
Realm TV is pre-bundled with OTT platforms like Netflix and Amazon Prime Video. If you want to view content on any other OTT platform, you can simply go to the Google Play Store and install the app and login with your credentials to get started.
The Realm Smart TV is packed with a 32-inch full HD LED display with a resolution of 1920 × 1080 pixels. According to the Chinese technology giant, the smart TV is packed with the Chroma Boost Picture engine, which “focuses on improving brightness, color, contrast, purity and clarity to provide a premium visual experience.”
I believe it offers a good viewing experience for the price but not as good as the 32-inch Mi LED TV 4A Pro. Compared to the Mi LED TV 4A Pro 32-inch, the image quality that Realme Smart TV gives shows more on the saturated side and the colors seem to be mostly popup and very vivid. There is a way to adjust the color tone and display setting according to your taste and need, just go to the settings menu.
Performance and UI
For an affordable price, what Realm has to offer is a lot on paper. RealMe Smart TV is powered by a MediaTek quad-core processor with built-in ARM Cortex A53 CPU and Mali-470 MP3 GPU with 1GB DDR3 RAM and 8GB Flash ROM. The company claims that Smart TV provides “a smoother, faster experience for you when you open multiple apps on Android TV.” When used in real life, smart TVs provide a good performance but lag behind in various cases.
Switching from one app to another and to another screen is not so easy. There have been cases where the smart TV screen suddenly becomes completely blank and takes a few minutes to recover. In situations like this, I often have to turn off the smart TV and then turn it on to fix the problem. Realm should take a note and resolve such backlog issues through an OTA update soon.
For the audio experience, the Realme Smart TV Full HD flashes 32 inches. The Smart TV supports Dolby Audio with a full-range speaker and a Twitter with 24W quad stereo speakers. It goes loud enough at just 50-70 percent for everyone in a three-bedroom flat to listen to music playing on YouTube. RealMe Smart TV offers heavy buzz but the soundstage is not as good as I expected. When watching a movie or web series, voices and dialogues are often mixed and sometimes not clear.
Like other Android smart TVs available in the market, Realm Smart TV Full HD 32 inch offers a clean Android TV experience. It includes OTT platforms such as Netflix and Amazon Prime Video and other applications such as YouTube, Google Play Store, Google Play Music, among others. Since the company has been in the TV business for over a year, I strongly hope that the brand will soon bring its own custom skin on top of Android TVs like the patchwall of Xiaomi Mi TV. If you are new to the world of Android TV, this realm smart TV should be easy to use. If you want a good and rich content, there is a lot of work to be done for Realme.
The Realm Smart TV Full HD offers an impressive specification on 32-inch paper but there is still a lot more work to be done in real life. The smart TV offers a simple design, a powerful build quality, clean user interface and an impressive audio experience at an affordable price. It is also easy to set up but definitely needs to improve in terms of performance. The device reverses in a variety of situations, especially when switching from one platform to another.
Overall, that Realme Smart TV Full HD 32-inch is good for first time Android TV buyers but if one is looking for a smooth experience on a budget, there are other options of brands like Xiaomi, Samsung, LG, etc. in the market. Among others.
