Realm has recently entered the private grooming market with beard trimmers and hairdressers. Although I didn’t get a chance to test the hairdryer for myself, the trimmer definitely felt premium and it replaced my usual Phillips. To me the main reason for relocating it is not its features, but the overall build quality and the convenience of the Type-C port. Here I will share my experience of using Realmy Beard Trimmer Plus for the last few days.
Realm Beard Trimmer Plus Price in India: 1,999
Realmy Beard Trimmer Plus Specifications: IPX 7 | 800 mAh battery 40 Length setting | 0.5 mm accuracy | Stainless steel blade | Use corded / cordless | Low bed operation | Travel lock
Realmy Beard Trimmer Plus Review: Design and Quality Standards
Realmy Beard Trimmer Plus looks and feels like a basic trimmer, with no frilly designs that you will find a few names from other brands like Philips and Panasonic. It has a build with a matte texture that makes the device feel quite premium. The build is very strong and does not feel shaking at all. The upper part, the lower part and the blades are made of stainless steel which dissipates the heat quite well, making the trimmer quite comfortable to use.
The top U-shaped blade is removable and can be replaced with engraved blades to add detail to your beard. The combination of these blades is quite good, considering you can get a precise cut but keep in mind that a hard cut will take some time.
The body of the trimmer has a comb length adjustment knock, a power button, an LED light indicator and a USB Type-C port.
However I don’t like the rim without including a few other trimmer blade styles with this product. Trimmers at similar prices come with multiple blades that can be attached to any body and used for a variety of purposes.
Realm Beard Trimmer Plus Review: Performance
Realm Beard Trimmer Plus is quite easy to use and it doesn’t really take much time to learn how to use it. You may choose to read the four-page manual, but I have not done so personally.
It is bundled with two stainless steel blades, which the company claims have been self-sharpened. However, I personally do not have the tools to test the claim. However during the review period I trimmed my beard twice with it and I have to say that I liked the accuracy and comfort of using Beard Trimmer Plus in Realm. Also after each trimming, I simply washed the blades with the trimmer top and I have to say that the device is quite easy to clean.
The star of the show was the wide blade with the U-shaped one according to my size. More small default blades operated to give my beard a sharper look. Using the trimmer was also quite great because of the minimal noise and you can’t hear a constant buzz when you try to trim your beard.
Travel is currently being avoided by most of us as a luxury, travel lock is a feature that I still believe will be effective for many. The feature basically doesn’t let the trimmer run while it’s active, which makes it a bit safer with kids at home. The feature can be enabled and disabled by holding down the power button for 3 seconds.
Overall, the trimmer is quite precise and of good quality. It went with my beard trimming experience I used twice
Realm Beard Trimmer Plus Review: Battery
In my experience, the battery lasted for about two trimming sessions, leaving me with some batteries for the third trim. The company claims that the device provides about 120 minutes of runtime on a single charge, if believed, the trimmer could easily survive me for two more trims.
The trimmer also has an LED battery indicator, which shows the battery levels and show whether the device is in travel mode or not. I found this LED indicator a bit basic and would appreciate a small display on it.
Although I did not completely discharge the charge, I tried to check how fast the trimmer charge was after my two trims. Personally, I expected it would take more than an hour to take the juice, however, the trimmer was fully charged in about 45 minutes.
Realm Beard Trimmer Plus Review: Penalty
Realmy Beard Trimmer Plus has a lot more batting including premium design, great performance, USB Type-C charging, IPX7 rating. However, I do have a grip, which is that the company did not include more blades, which you will get at the same price as other brands of trimmers.
Although the company did not include many blades, the experience with it has bundled two very well. I kept a razor burn or uneven beard while using the device, which is a very good thing. Also, the blades weren’t so hot that I had to put the trimmer aside to cool. Overall, the experience of using Realmy Beard Trimmer Plus was very pleasant and that is why I would suggest you to try it for yourself too.
