Poco M3 price hike: Two variants now cost more in offline, online markets

The Poco M3 is currently the most attractive smartphone in the affordable segment, especially the Poco Yellow. This makes it one of the primary reasons to grab a number of similarly priced Redmi 9 Prime or Realm phones. There is some sad news for you if you make up your mind to make a pick. Poko has increased the price of this phone by Rs.500.

The Poco M3 is priced by Rs 500 across two storage variants. The GB GB RAM and GB4 GB storage version is now priced at Rs 11,499, while the 128 GB storage variant is now priced at Rs 12,499. The base version with 4GB RAM does not see any price change. Poco does not reveal the reason behind the price upgrade but seems to be the reason for the price increase of the ingredients.

The new prices apply across both online and offline channels.

The Poco M3 is now more expensive

Raising prices in the affordable segment is not new, especially for Xiaomi-based brands. Earlier, the Redmi Note 10 increased the price of two storage variants and the Redmi Note 10 Pro increased the price of the 128GB variant. Most of these price increases are attributed to increased material and logistics costs.

Despite the price increase, the Poco M3 is still one of the best options in its category. The phone is based on the Redmi 10 Power separately, it also sells for the same price. The M3 gets a 6.5-inch full HD + display with Gorilla Glass 3 protection. There is no high refresh rate for this.

Inside, the Poco M3 relies on a Snapdragon 662 chipset with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. At the time of launch, Poco released it with MIUI 12 based on Android 10. The front camera uses an 8-megapixel sensor.

The Poco 18000 provides a 6000 mAh battery with fast charging support. A 3.5mm headphone jack and a USB-C port are also present.

Poco recently launched the M3 Pro with a base version starting at Rs 13,999. The Pro has a 5G-enabled Dimension 700 chipset and a 90Hz refresh rate display, but a smaller battery than 5000mAh.
