Sony has finally revealed its new PlayStation subscription service. As expected, the Japanese company will merge PS Now and PS Plus subscriptions. Instead, gamers will get the option to choose from three levels. The new subscription service still might not be quite as well priced as Xbox Game Pass, but the inclusion of up to 700 games is a substantial bump to existing plans. The merger of PS Now also brings game streaming to PS Plus.
Sony announced this through the official blog. This June, we’re bringing PlayStation Plus and PlayStation Now to a brand new PlayStation Plus subscription service that gives customers more options across three subscription tiers globally. ,

Cloud streaming access for original PlayStation, PS2, PSP and PS4 games is offered in additional and premium tiers in markets where PlayStation Now is currently available. Customers can stream the game using PS4 and PS5 consoles and PC.
Time-limited game trials will also be offered in this tier, so customers can try out select games before buying.

PlayStation Plus Deluxe (Select Market)
For markets without cloud streaming, PlayStation Plus Deluxe will be offered at a lower price than Premium, and will include time-limited game trials as well as a range of classic games to download and play from the original PlayStation, PS2 and PSP generations. A list is included. The benefits of essential and additional levels are also included. Local prices will vary by market.
At launch, the new extras and premium tiers will feature games like Death Stranding, God of War, Marvel’s Spider-Man, Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales, Mortal Kombat 11, and Return of the Year.
PS Now members will be upgraded to PS Plus Premium
When the new PlayStation Plus service launches, PlayStation Now will transition to the new PlayStation Plus offering and will no longer be available as a standalone service. PlayStation Now customers will migrate to PlayStation Plus Premium without any increase in their current subscription fee at launch.
The new PlayStation Plus subscription will be offered in a phased regional approach. In the June time frame, Sony will begin with an initial launch in several markets in Asia, followed by the PlayStation Plus offering in North America, Europe and the rest of the world.
Sony has announced that they plan to go live with most PlayStation Network regions with the new PlayStation Plus game subscription service by the end of the first half of 2022. The company has also announced plans to expand its cloud streaming advantage in additional markets.
