OnePlus is in trouble again. Lately, the company has been making headlines for all the wrong reasons, especially for its Nord series. In the recent times, there have been several incidents of OnePlus Nord 2 bursting while in use. Now, it is the OnePlus Nord CE which reportedly exploded while a user “pulled it out of pocket”. Dushyant Goswami bought OnePlus Nord CE about six months ago.
Goswami took to social media platforms like Twitter and LinkedIn to report the incident. The posts have now been deleted and the user claims that the OnePlus team has promised to send him a new unit. “Thank you all for the support. Last night at 8 PM the OnePlus team called me and promised to send a new unit by Tuesday.”
The company has not issued any official statement on the incident or the reason behind the explosion.
Reporting the incident on Twitter, Goswami said, “I have a phone from very popular brand OnePlus, which promises the best quality. My phone is only 6 months old and it literally exploded yesterday while I pocketed it. This is not only bad but also fatal. Will the brand be responsible for the accident?
Along with the post, Goswami shared pictures of his burnt out OnePlus Nord CE, which looked completely damaged from the front as well as the back. The battery, display and camera were completely damaged.
This is not the first time we are hearing about the OnePlus Nord Phone Blast. Earlier, many users in India and abroad have told about OnePlus Nord 2 Blast. The company has not yet given specific details about why these explosions are happening.
Notably, this is also the first time that the Chinese smartphone maker has promised to offer a new unit in exchange for an exploded phone.
