OnePlus 9R, OnePlus 9RT started receiving OxygenOS 13 open beta update

OnePlus recently pushed out the OxygenOS 13 open beta update for the OnePlus 9 and OnePlus 9 Pro. Now, the company has announced the same update for the OnePlus 9R and OnePlus 9RT.

OnePlus 9R and 9RT were launched with Android 11 OS and they received Android 12 OS in the country earlier this year. Now, finally, both are getting Android 13 OS via OxygenOS 13 open beta update.

As mentioned in a community post by OnePlus, OxygenOS 13 also brings support for Airtel 5G. The new update is expected to feature a card-style layout and an aquamorphic design with rounded corners. Quantum Animation Engine 4.0 provides natural animations and a customized interface.

Additionally, OnePlus has also bought some improvements to the Always-On display with more drawing tools, line colors and Bitmoji optimization.

It also comes with pixelation feature for screenshots taken from chat. With this feature, the system will be able to automatically pixelate profile pictures and display names in chat screenshots to protect privacy.

Gaming has also seen some improvement as the new update adds a Hyperboost GPA 4.0 feature to stabilize the frame rate, which will balance performance and power consumption.

The size of the open beta update for both devices is 5.5GB. While updating make sure that the battery percentage of your OnePlud device is above 30 percent, preferably 50 percent and above.

OnePlus 9RT is a flagship device and comes with Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 chipset paired with up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. It packs a 4,500mAh battery with support for 65W fast charging. It was launched out of the box with Android 11 OS and now it is finally getting the Android 13 open beta update.
