British brand One Moto has introduced a new electric scooter – Electa in the Indian EV space. The two-wheeler was showcased at the EV India Expo at a price of Rs 2,00,000 (ex-showroom price). For young riders, the new scooter will be available in six colors – Matte Black, Shiny Black, Blue, Red and Grey.

The new Electa is claimed to offer a top speed of 100 kmph and a range of 150 km on a single charge. It is powered by a 4KW QS brushless DC hub motor as per the company. The scooter is equipped with a 72V and 45AH, detachable lithium-ion battery that gets fully operational in four hours. One Moto’s Electa is powered by a 4KW QS brushless DC hub motor. As for other features, the Electa gets an analog display, disc brakes on both the wheels and optional chrome upgrades. The British mobility brand has offered a three-year warranty on the motor, controller and battery of the new scooter. The deliveries of the new scooter will start from February 2022.

“The idea is to launch premium products with high speed quality and start distribution from major metro cities. We aim to not only serve the Indian customers with our scooters but also provide them with the complete experience while driving a vehicle with ICE engine. We aim to establish our foothold in the hot markets of the country including Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Delhi-NCR, Haryana and Punjab in the next six months. Notably, the new Electa is the third e-scooter from the company to join the EV portfolio in India. One Moto showcased two products in the Indian market – the Comuta, and the Byca following the fundraising of the brand in November. All three One-Moto products have ‘one-app’ support that provides end-to-end technology support including geo-fencing, IoT, Bluetooth. The Comuta, the affordable high-end e-scooter is priced at Rs 1.3 lakh, while the Boya is priced at Rs 1.8 lakh.
