UK-based technology giant, Nothing, recently launched its much awaited Ear (Stick) after months of leaks and speculations. The recently launched Nothing Year (Stick) costs $99 in the US and 119 euros in the European Union. Globally, Nothing will conduct limited fall wearables on October 28, with sales beginning November 4 in select global markets including the US, UK, Europe and Asia Pacific. The company has started taking pre-orders for the device. The Year (Stick) will be available in India from November 17, 2022 on Flipkart and Myntra for Rs.8,499.
Speaking on the sidelines of the launch event, Nothing Co-Founder Carl Pei said, “As we approach one million products sold worldwide, I am getting my hands on our third product, the Ear (Stick). Can’t wait to come. It balances comfort while delivering the most advanced sound experience we’ve ever seen. The case is inspired by the lipstick silhouette and features a unique, yet functional, twist up opening.
Nothing Ears (Stick) Specifications & Features
In terms of specifications, the Nothing Ear (Stick) without the case weighs just 4.4 grams and comes with IP54 dust and water resistant coating. On the hardware front, the newly launched Nothing Ear (Stick) comes with a 12.6mm dynamic driver with pen (polyethylene naphthalate) and PU (polyurethane) diaphragm.
On the audio front, the Nothing Ear (Stick) features Nothings Clear Voice technology, which the company says has three high-definition mics to analyze over a million sounds for wind-proof and crowd-proof calls and uses an intelligent algorithm. It also has Bass Lock feature for a more optimized audio experience.
For connectivity, the newly launched wearable features support for Google’s Fast Pair technology and Microsoft’s Swift Pair technology. While Fast Pair works with Android 6.0 Mashmallow and above or Google Play Services version 11.7 and above, Microsoft’s Swift Pair feature supports Windows 10, and Windows version 1803 and above.
