A new Vivo smartphone is now available to buy in India ahead of its launch. Vivo Y56 5G is the latest mid-range smartphone from the company, which is reportedly going on sale across offline stores. Since Vivo hasn’t officially announced the phone or its online availability, the Y56 5G is likely to be available in mobile shops near you, at least for now.
As per Mumbai based retailer Mahesh TelecomVivo Y56 5G comes in 8GB RAM and 128GB storage variant, which costs Rs 19,999. The listing of the Y56 5G on the Vivo India website shows that its price is Rs 24,999. This means that the offline price includes offers and discounts. The phone comes in Black Engine and Orange Shimmer color options.
An image of the retail box of the Vivo Y56 5G, posted by the retailer on Twitter, shows a design similar to other Y-series phones. There is a waterdrop-style notch on the display and there is a selfie camera inside. The design of the phone is flat and there are two big cutouts for the camera at the back. All the buttons are on the right side, but the location of the SIM tray is not clear from the picture.
Vivo Y56 5G Specifications
As for its specifications, the Vivo Y56 5G comes with a 6.58-inch FullHD+ IPS LCD panel coupled with a regular 60Hz refresh rate. It is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 700 processor paired with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. The phone has a 5000mAh battery, but its charging speed is not clear. It runs Android 13-based Funtouch OS 13 software.
There are two cameras on the back of the Vivo Y56 5G: a 50-megapixel F1.8 camera and a 2-megapixel F2.4 camera. On the other hand, the front camera uses a 16-megapixel F2.0 sensor. The camera app on the Vivo Y56 5G supports Night Mode, Portrait Mode, 50MP Mode, and Live Photos. There is support for both 5G NSA and 5G SA modes, which means both Airtel and Jio services will be available. The phone is 8.15mm thick and weighs 184 grams.
