Netflix’s video streaming services were down for thousands of users on Thursday, according to outage-tracking website Downdetector.com. It was a global outage that affected users in parts of India including Delhi, Chennai, Mumbai, Bangalore and others.
There were about 1,800 reports on DownDetector, which combines position reports from multiple sources. Users told that Netflix users are getting 502 error.
Notably, Netflix users have reported that it is backing up for some users.
According to Downdetector, around 55% of users reported problems with the website.
Netflix did not immediately respond reuters Request for comment.
Netflix, which has more than 200 million paid subscribers globally, remains the dominant streaming service.
