Popular streaming platform Netflix has posted a job listing for various positions for a project it describes as a “brand-new AAA PC game.” The company posted job requirements for a game director, art director and technical director at its newly announced Southern California Games Studio. It was first spotted by Mobilegamer.biz. Since this is an unannounced project, there is not much information other than that.

For the Director of Games position, the platform is looking for a “creative leader of Netflix’s first generation of internally developed original games.”

The streaming giant rolled out its mobile games for Android, iPhone and iPad users in November last year.

Until then, members could only play five mobile games — Stranger Things: 1984 (BonusXP), Stranger Things 3: The Game (BonusXP), Shooting Hoops (Frosty Pop), Card Blast (Amuzo and Rogue Games) And Teeter Up (Frosty Pop).

Last month, Netflix expanded into cloud gaming by opening a new studio in Southern California.

Furthermore, in August, the platform was working on features that would let customers play their mobile games against each other and rank themselves on gaming leaderboards.

Recently, Mike Verdoo, Netflix’s VP of games, hinted that the company plans to expand its gaming catalog to PC and even cloud gaming. According to their statement, “We are very seriously exploring a cloud gaming offering so that we can reach members on TV and PC. We’re going to approach it the same way we did with mobile, starting small.” Do it, be polite, be considerate, and then move on. But it’s a step we feel we should take to meet members where they are on the devices they consume Netflix on.

For those unaware, Netflix recently announced a new feature that will allow users to block unwanted people from using their accounts. They can now log out separately from different devices.
