It’s been a while since Motorola introduced its last foldable clamshell smartphone, the Razer 5G. Now, it’s upgrade time. The upcoming foldable phone, likely to be called Motorola Razr 3, has hit the internet. Interestingly, the new Razr comes with a lot and will rival Samsung’s Z Flip phone as well.
Codenamed “Maven”, the upcoming Motorola Razr 3 or 3rd-gen Razr foldable will be a complete redesign. In collaboration with tipster Evan Blass 91mobiles The live image of the foldable phone has been leaked. The smartphone appears to be very similar to the Galaxy Z Flip3.
The Motorola Maven has narrow bezels and a punch-hole primary display. Instead of the curved sides of the predecessor Razer Phone, it flaunts a boxier form factor. The smartphone doesn’t have a protruding chin and even the fingerprint scanner has been shifted to the right side of the power button. Blass reveals that the phone will come with a full-HD+ resolution screen.
Talking about the cameras, the phone has a dual camera system at the back. The camera sensor has a horizontal location. It is said to be a 50MP main lens with f/1.8 aperture. It is assisted by a 13MP unit. The 32MP selfie camera is housed inside the punch hole on the front.
Motorola is expected to release two chipset versions of the phone. One with Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC, while the other with the unannounced Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 Plus. It will come in different RAM and storage configurations such as 8GB/12GB RAM and 25GB/512GB internal storage.
Furthermore, the Motorola Razr 3 is said to launch sometime in July or August this year. Initially, it will be available in China and later after the global release. The device will come in Quartz Black and Tranquil Blue color options.
