Motorola Edge 40 Pro passes Geekbench to reveal Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC
Motorola Edge 40 Pro has made it to Geekbench 5. The benchmark result shows the performance of the smartphone and also reveals its chipset. The device has scored 1480 points in the single-core department and 4889 points in the multi-core department.
Under the hood, the device is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC with a maximum clock speed of 3.19GHz. It has 11.00GB of RAM, which translates to 12GB as Geekbench always shows less RAM than actual.
Interestingly, the device runs on Android 13 OS out-of-the-box. We expect My UX on top of it with support for custom Moto apps and Moto Actions.
Apart from this, there is nothing much to see in the Geekbench documentation. However, rumors suggest that the Edge 40 Pro will likely be a rebranded Moto X40 for global markets.
Moto X40 was launched in China in December 2022. The device features a 6.7-inch punch-hole OLED display with FHD+ resolution. It has 165Hz refresh rate and HDR10+ support.
