Xiaomi unveiled the MIUI 12.5 enhanced version and MIUI for the Pad at its MI Mix 4 launch event, along with a bunch of hardware. Here we will take a look at what the new operating systems offer.
MIUI 12.5 Advanced Version
MIUI 12.5 Advanced Version A polished version of MIUI 12.5 and it brings multiple improvements to the skin. The company claims that with the improved version of MIUI 12.5 it has solved 160 system header issues and 224 system application issues. In addition to the modifications, it claims that it has introduced optimization everywhere at the maximum application level for the following structures.
Primarily, the improved version of MIUI 12.5 does not bring several new features, instead, it adds four optimizations, such as fluid storage, nuclear memory, focus calculation, and intelligent balance.
Liquid storage A solution that will help the device optimize the storage mechanism, as well as help maintain long-term reading and writing performance.
Atomic memory A solution to optimize the memory management mechanism, which helps to improve the performance of holding applications in memory.
Focus calculation A solution to optimize the processor’s schedule, which helps reduce CPU usage and power consumption.
Intelligent balance Hardware performance as well as power consumption and an intelligent solution to find the balance between them.

The above mentioned devices are a part of the first batch of devices which will get updated from 13th August. The company said it will soon publish a detailed rollout plan for all eligible devices at the MI Community Forum.
MIUI for pads
In addition to the improved version of MIUI 12.5, Xiaomi has also introduced MIUIO for the Pad, especially for tablets, making it its first operating system. MIUI for Pads is basically a newly designed MIUI 12.5 for tablets. The company claims that it comes with a split-screen mode with a full-screen app experience.
Xiaomi further claims that more than 300 mainstream applications have been well optimized for MIUI for Pads and has set a target of adopting 2000 applications by the end of this year. To confirm this, the company has requested the developers to join the Xiaomi Open platform and help them improve the condition of the Android tablet app ecosystem.
The company has teased the MI Security app for tablets, but did not reveal anything about the app at the event.
