Microsoft, IIT Bombay, SINE join hands to empower startups in technology and digital domain

Society for Innovation and Entrepreneurship (SINE), the umbrella organization at IIT Bombay to promote entrepreneurship and promote tech start-ups, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Microsoft to support SINE startups. The collaboration is in line with SINE’s vision to provide an environment to translate knowledge and innovation into creating successful entrepreneurs.

As part of this collaboration, SINE and Microsoft will explore opportunities that will help startups at SINE leverage Microsoft software and services, access to GitHub, M365 resources, training and skills on Azure, as well as mentors Network. This collaboration will help startups get exclusive access to leadership from Microsoft, industry experts Microsoft Valuable Professionals (MVPs), Azure Influencers and startup founders.

With more and more focus being shifted towards cloud-based technology solutions across various sectors, Microsoft’s history and experience of being a leading global technology giant will definitely benefit our startups and we hope they take full advantage of this partnership Poynni Bhat, Chief Executive Officer, Sign said in a statement.

Microsoft and SINE will also work together to select startups and onboard them into the Founder’s Hub. Select startups get an opportunity to be a part of the Azure Community Program and other developer campaigns run by Microsoft such as Azure Developer League, Azure Blogthon, Hackathon, Open Hacks and Imagine Cup.

“The Microsoft Azure platform hosts a wide range of products and cloud services that can help startups solve today’s challenges and design solutions for the future. We are thrilled to collaborate with SINE, IIT Bombay, to empower startups to harness the power of the cloud, enabling them to turn meaningful innovations into actionable outcomes,” said Himani Agarwal, Country Head, Azure, Microsoft India said.

Microsoft will provide startups at SINE with flexible, scalable resources (API integration with GitHub), access to demonstrate technology value and visit the Microsoft Tech Center in Bengaluru to schedule in-person/online sessions. In addition, they will be able to visit the Microsoft ISV – Get access to independent software vendors, and opportunities to work with Microsoft, and list on the Microsoft Marketplace).
