Meta has announced plans to launch another consumer-grade virtual reality headset next year. On the company’s earnings call late Wednesday, Meta founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg said the new high-end VR headset delivers high-resolution mixed reality for users to blend virtual objects into their surrounding physical environments.
“Our goal for the Quest Pro line over the next several years is to enable more people to do their work in virtual and mixed reality better on PCs,” Zuckerberg said.
“I think our work is going to be of historical importance and will lay the foundation for an entirely new way that we will interact with each other and the technology in our lives as well as the foundation for the long run of our business. Will keep.” He added.
Zuckerberg believes that strong prioritization, discipline and efficiency will help it navigate the current environment and grow as a better firm.
Recently, Zuckerberg unveiled the Meta Quest Pro, a VR headset packed with features like full-color mixed reality and priced at $1,500, in the presence of the company’s chairman and CEO Satya Nadella.
“The Meta Quest Pro was the first in a new line of advanced headsets created to expand the possibilities of virtual and mixed reality. Its pancake lens bends light multiple times, reducing the size of the headset while showing sharper scenes, Zuckerberg said at the ‘Meta Connect’ event late Tuesday.
