With improved portrait bokeh and mild AI-camera enhancements, the new MediaTek Helio G36 processor aims to raise the bar for entry gaming smartphones by leveraging the benefits of bigger cameras, smoother performance, faster displays and global dual 4G connectivity.
The MediaTek Helio G36 features technologies that boost the overall mobile gaming experience built on the highly power-efficient TSMC 12nm production process as well as enhanced connectivity, location services, and the chipset’s MediaTek HyperEngine 2.0 Lite gaming technologies such as Resource Management Engine 2.0 To ensure that the company claims consistent performance with dynamic management of GPU, CPU and memory, the Networking Engine 2.0 enables faster response and better connectivity to promote seamless services.
MediaTek Helio G36 supports up to 50MP cameras, with dual camera photography backed by hardware depth engine for high-quality depth of field (bokeh) effect, adding to its AI-camera features like branded AI beautification and enhanced accuracy Can
MediaTek HyperEngine 2.0 Lite is equipped with Resource Management Engine 2.0 which ensures intelligent performance optimization and dynamic management of CPU, GPU to ensure consistent performance and longer gameplay even in demanding games.
Manufactured using highly energy-efficient TSMC 12nm chip production process and octa-core Arm Cortex-A53 CPU, aims to provide an entry-level gaming smartphone with peak speed of 2.2GHz. According to the company, it offers the right mix of performance and power-efficiency, while device makers can add up to 8GB of faster LPDDR4x memory.
It also comes with integrated Wi-Fi 5 and Bluetooth 5 that support simultaneous coexistence to significantly increase throughput and connection reliability when using peripherals such as headphones and gamepads.
