Mahindra & Mahindra has released a new teaser of its five electric SUVs. The new SUV will be unveiled next month on Independence Day, August 15. Earlier, Mahindra had only shared the teasers of three different electric cars. Now, we know that the company has three new electric SUVs ready to be unveiled next month.
In the Mahindra teaser, we see the silhouettes of five different electric SUVs. While every model was different, we could ascertain that three of the five electric cars had an SUV-like stance, while the rest both had more of a crossover design. One of the five SUVs looked like a concept version of the Mahindra XUV700.
Mahindra Electric Cars are a part of the Bourne Electric Vehicles range, which are being conceptualized at Mahindra Advanced Design Studio in the UK. Mahindra claims that a team of global designers and experts is working on this concept.
The new cars will be unveiled on August 15, but nothing has been said about the launch of the vehicles. Mahindra may introduce concept versions of these five SUVs and may launch road-ready versions in the coming years.
Mahindra has also set up a dedicated micro-site for the upcoming electric SUV. Interested users can register on the website by giving their name, mobile number, email etc. In the last teaser, Mahindra showed a total htree car. The C-Shape has a common LED DRL unit across all three. Even the taillamps were in an inverted C-shape. We have seen similar design language on the Mahindra XUV700.
Their work will be over by the time Mahindra electric cars hit the market. Tata Motors is currently the leader in the four wheeler EV market. It has gained the advantage of an early mover with hardly any competition from the top car makers of the country. The launch of the new SUV is expected to bring some balance to the EV-car race.
