While Indians are still warming up to the IQ du duo earlier this year, China is gearing up to see the next-generation mode. It’s called IQO8 and before the August 17 launch event, both Tipster and IQO are revealing specific features and specs. In short, we know what the new model looks like and what energy it will give inside.
IQOO 8 is no different from the iQOO 7 legend we see in India. The posters reveal a design inspired by the Vivo X60 Pro Plus, which has a large camera housing on the back with three cameras on the back. There is a regular black version with a carbon fiber pattern while the white color is after the BMW M motorsport stripe; This time an IQ logo is blocking its flow.
IQOO 8 has been teased before launch
The rest of the phone has a curved edge display with a camera cutout in the center. Looks like the iQOO 7 series wants to go the premium way instead of the gaming-friendly design.
Another teaser reveals the choice of chipset: Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Plus. It will have UFS 3.1 storage and LPDDR5 RAM. The display will use a Samsung E5 AMOLED panel with 1440p resolution. Battery capacity is still unknown but a 120W fast charging solution for the iQOO 8 has been confirmed.
At the moment, it remains to be seen whether IQO8 will reach the global market outside of China. iQOO has so far only launched iQOO 3 and iQOO 7 series in India, the company has dropped some models launched in China. IQO7 Legend currently offers top-notch glasses at a bargain price, there is no room for competitive slots for IQO8, unless IQO has different plans.
IQ Le Legend is currently one of the most affordable smartphones in India using Snapdragon 8 chipset. The phone only comes in the BMW M color version and comes with some high quality features.
