Instagram Sensitive Control: Here's how to limit sensitive content in Explore tab

Instagram has introduced a new toggle called Sensitive Content Control to give users better control over their scrolling experience. The new Instagram feature will allow users to decide whether they want to see more or less sensitive content under the ‘Explore’ tab.

“We believe that people are able to make Instagram the experience they want. As the Facebook-owned company noted in its official post, we’ve begun to move forward with tools such as the ability to block comments or interrupt conversations with someone on Instagram.

“This new feature gives you control over sensitive content. You can decide to leave things as they are or adjust the control of the sensitive content to see some or less of the sensitive content. We acknowledge that everyone has different preferences than what they want to see on Explore, and that these controls give people more choice than what they see, “Instagram quotes more. The social media platform added,” You can think of sensitive content as such a post. That doesn’t necessarily break our rules, but for some people it can be upsetting – such posts can be sexually suggestive or violent, “the social media added.

Instagram Sensitive Content Control: Here’s how it works

To access Instagram’s sensitive content control option, simply go to the Settings menu, then tap the Accounts option. Under the account, you get control of sensitive content. As mentioned by social media platforms, the new feature allows you to choose between three options – “Allow,” “Restrictions” or “Restrict more”. Anyone can decide if they want. The “Restricted even more” option will show very few sensitive posts in the Explore tab.

However, Instagram seems to have tried to provide users with at least some granular control ‘over its algorithm’, unfortunately, the functionality seems to be limited. Like other major social media platforms, the company has long been involved in how the police deal with sensitive content. That said, Instagram recently released security checkups to give users control over their privacy. According to the report, the social media platform began testing ‘algorithmic suggestions mixed in the original feed’ last month.
