The top-5 smartphone sellers in the region accounted for 93 per cent of the total shipments in the region.
In the third quarter of 2021, North American smartphone shipments fell 7 percent annually.
Samsung also faced shortages that limited its ability to meet strong customer demand.
“Samsung’s new foldable smartphones, the Galaxy Flip 3 and Fold 3, were very strong sellers for the company,” said Woody Oh, director of strategy analytics.
