The Huawei P50 series, the latest flagship series from the Chinese smartphone brand, has finally debuted. The new Huawei P50 and Huawei P50 Pro feature premium hardware and the company’s first HarmonyOS. Huawei has launched a new P50 lineup starting at CNY 4,500 (about Rs 51,700). This time, the Chinese brand did not come up with the Pro + model. However, the company has launched the Pro model with two SOC variants-the internal Kirin 999 and the Snapdragon 888 লক্ষ্য targeting different markets.
Huawei P50, P50 Pro Price, Availability
The Huawei P50 is priced at CNY 4,500 (approximately Rs. 51,700) for the base model with 8GB / 128GB storage. The 8GB / 256GB storage model is priced at CNY 5,000 (approximately Rs. 57,400). For the high-end Huawei P50 Pro, the phone is priced at CNY 6,000 for the cheaper variant with 8GB / 128GB storage (around Rs 68,900). The 256GB storage version is priced at CNY 6,500 (roughly Rs 74,700), while the line model with 12GB / 512GB storage is priced at CNY 7,500 (around Rs 86,200).
As mentioned, there are two models of Huawei P50 Pro, the Kirin 999 equipped variant is priced at CNY 7,988 (around Rs 91,800) and CNY 8,488 (around Rs 97,500) respectively.
In terms of availability, the vanilla Huawei P50 and Huawei P50 Pro 12GB RAM models will go on sale in September. The Huawei P50 Pro will be ready for pre-order from today and the first batch will be shipped on August 12th. Huawei did not share any specific information when the new flagship series went out of China.

Huawei P50 Pro
As far as specs are concerned, the Huawei P50 Pro features a 6.6-inch FHD + (1,228 × 2,700 pixel resolution) OLED curved display with refresh rates up to 120Hz. The panel has 1440Hz high-frequency PWM dimming, 300Hz touch sampling rate, 450ppi pixel density and P3 wide color gamut coverage. It is shipped with high silicon Kirin 9000 or Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 SOC and it comes with 12 GB of RAM.
In the case of optics, the button-shaped camera module comes with the following configurations: 50-megapixel primary camera with f / 1.8 aperture and optical image stabilization (OIS), 40-megapixel monochrome lens with f / 1.6 aperture, 2.2 / aperture with 13 / f 64 megapixel telephoto camera with wide-angle lens and f / 3.5 aperture. The quad-camera array has 3.5x optical zoom and 100x digital zoom support. For selfies, a 13-megapixel camera is embedded in the punch-hole cutout.
The Huawei P50 Pro’s battery backup supports 4,360mAh and 66W Wired Super Fast Charge and 50W Wireless Super Fast Charge solutions. The phone also has wireless charging support. It is IP68-rated water and dust resistant and has an in-display fingerprint reader.
For the vanilla variant, the Huawei P50 has a 6.5-inch FHD + (1,224 × 2,700 pixels) OLED flat display with refresh rate up to 90Hz, 1440Hz high-frequency PWM dimming, 300Hz touch sampling rate, and 458ppi. The power of the phone is a Snapdragon 8 SOC which is paired with GB of RAM. It has nano memory card support for storage expansion.
Unlike the Pro model, it gets a triple camera layout with a 50-megapixel main camera f / 1.8 aperture, a 13-megapixel secondary sensor f / 2.2 aperture and a 12-megapixel telephoto lens with f / 3.4 aperture and 5x optical zoom with OIS and 50x digital. The selfie camera is the same as the Pro version. The Huawei P50 packs a slightly smaller 4,100mAh battery. It supports 66W wired fast charge and is IP68 rated water and dust resistant.
For color options, the Pro model comes in coats of Cocoa Tea Gold, Dawn Powder, Rippling Clouds, Snow White and Yao Gold Black. Meanwhile, regular variants of Cocoa Tea Gold, Snow White and Yao Gold Black color options are offered.
