HTC has once again brought a new phone after a long time. Once hugely popular, HTC now randomly launches phones, perhaps to show that it still exists, at least in the smartphone market. The name of the new phone is Wildfire E3 Lite and it has been launched in Africa. The HTC Wildfire E3 Lite is an entry-level phone and is extremely affordable unlike the vanilla model back in 2021.
If you are looking for a basic feature phone, then HTC Wildfire E3 Lite can be an option. It features an HD+ display, dual cameras at the back, and a design that’s similar to a lot of other phones we’ve seen in a while. The biggest selling point of this phone can be its battery. HTC has packed a 5000mAh battery inside the Wildfire E3 and it should last more than a day as the hardware of the phone is not very demanding.
Powering the HTC Wildfire is an octa-core Unisoc SC9863 processor clocked at 1.6GHz. You get up to 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage in the phone, but you get the option to expand the space via a microSD card slot. Wildfire E3 Lite flaunts a 6.5-inch LCD with HD+ resolution of 720×1600 pixels. Of course, given the positioning of the phone, the display is stuck at 60Hz refresh rate. HTC has packed the older Android 12 software on the new phone.
You get a 13-megapixel main camera at the back, along with a 2-megapixel depth-sensing camera and an LED flash module. The Wildfire E3 Lite sports a 5-megapixel front camera housed inside the waterdrop-style notch. For security, the Wildfire E3 Lite sports a physical fingerprint sensor on the side. A 5000mAh battery has been used in it, which only charges at a speed of 10W. The phone uses the USB-C port for charging and media transfer, but you also get a 3.5mm jack for connecting audio devices.
HTC hasn’t announced a price for the new Wildfire E3 Lite, but it’s clear that it will be available in Africa initially. HTC Wildfire E3 comes in Black and Blue colours.
