How to use 'Add Yours' Sticker on Instagram

Instagram recently launched a new “Add Yours” sticker for stories on the platform. This sticker allows users to create a public thread to interact with others on the platform so that anyone can respond, post or participate. This interactive sticker allows users to create a content chain among their friends that can be based on any topic, for example, “Day Decoration”, “Best Sunset Pictures” and so on. That way, others can add pictures of the same subject to their story.

Instagram is still testing this feature in selected regions. This interactive sticker has now been released worldwide.

How to use the new ‘Add Yours’ sticker on Instagram

  1. Upload a picture to your Instagram story
  2. Tap the smiley face icon in the top right corner
  3. Tap on the “Add Your” sticker
  4. Type your captions and post your story

By tapping on the story sticker, viewers will see who has participated in the trend. They will be able to see the stories of everyone who has participated in the thread. Viewers can also add photos of themselves and be part of this trend by tapping on others ’story stickers. According to Instagram, this feature will allow creators to get more followers on the platform.

The new “Add Your” sticker has been rolled out after the recently rolled out “Link Sticker”. Previously, Instagram users had to add the “swipe up” option to add links to their stories. The new link sticker lets viewers double-tap on the sticker to view the link. Significantly, this feature is available to all users on Instagram, in contrast to the swipe-up method, which was only available to users with 10,000+ followers.

In addition, Instagram has released three new Diwali-themed stickers. The stickers have been launched as part of a global campaign #ShareYourLight created in collaboration with Bangalore-based painter, muralist and pattern designer Nithi.

These stickers will be visible to your followers in the multi-author story of Diwali. Whenever you post stories using these stickers, they will be visible to followers
