Passport is an essential travel document for travel abroad for education, tourism, pilgrimage, medical attendance, business purposes and family visits. If you have moved to a new address or plan to change the existing address to a new one, you can go through the process below. After applying for a reissue to change your address, you will receive your passport with a unique number registered for your new address.
Before taking the necessary steps to change the address on your passport online, it is important to remember that you must have some documents ready when visiting your Passport Service Center (PSK). The list of required documents is given in the Passport Service Portal.
You will need to pay a fixed fee to apply for a passport reissue. This varies depending on the age of the applicant and the reason for re-issuance. You can go to the Passport Service portal to find out how much you have to pay.
Step 1: Go to Passport Service Portal
Step 2: Click on the New User Registration link
Step 3: Enter your details and select the nearest passport office
Step 4: After entering the captcha, click on register button
Step 5: Login to Passport Services website with your login ID
STEP6: Tap Apply for New Passport / Passport Reissue
Step 7: Click on ‘Fill out online application form’ option
STEP8: Enter the details of application type and passport booklet type
Step 9: Tap Next button
Step 10: Select the View the saved or submitted applications option
STEP11: Tap Pay and Schedule Applications to pay and book your appointment
Step 12: Select Online Payment
Step 13: Tap Next button
Step 14: Now you need to choose a PSK location and then print the application receipt.
