Honor is not leaving the Indian market, an Honor official reveals

A recent report revealed that Respect Might have given up on the Indian market altogether as no new smartphone has made its India debut in the recent past. However, according to an Honor spokesperson, the brand is still continuing its operations in the country and refuted the previous report.

Honor confirms it continues to operate in India

Honor has officially shared a statement Gadgets360 Revealing that it is still working in India. “Respect is maintaining business operations[s] in India and will continue its development. An Honor spokesperson said that earlier reports that “Honor has officially announced its exit from the Indian market” are not true.

Honor has had an interesting time in the Indian market, especially in the initial times when it entered the country. In recent times, the brand was quiet and even its Twitter handle has not been active for more than a year. However it is answering some of the questions that users put on the platform.

It is worth noting that even though the brand hasn’t introduced new phones in the recent past, the company has released a smartwatch in the country.

Honor Watch GS3 was launched in the Indian market in June for a price of Rs. 12,990. Although now it is selling for Rs. 10,990 on Amazon. It is available in Midnight Black, Ocean Blue and Classic Gold.

The smartwatch comes with a 1.43-inch touchscreen display with 1,000 nits peak brightness. It is an AMOLED panel with 326 ppi pixel density. It provides heart rate monitoring and 24/7 blood oxygen monitoring. It gets 14 days of battery life on a single charge.

In related news, the company recently launched the Honor X8 5G smartphone in the global market. This smartphone comes with a 6.5-inch LCD display with HD + resolution. It has a triple camera setup with 48MP primary lens, 2MP macro lens and 2MP sensor.

The smartphone is powered by Snapdragon 480+ SoC and packs a 5,000mAh battery. It has 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage. The phone supports a side-mounted fingerprint scanner that provides additional security.

The designation of Honor not exiting the Indian market reveals that an Honor official first appeared on BGR India.
