Hero Electric, India’s largest electric scooter maker, plans to expand its charging infrastructure for its buyers. The company has partnered with EV charging network Bolt. The companies aim to set up 50,000 EV charging stations in India in the next one year. As part of the collaboration, Bolt chargers will be installed at over 750 Hero Electric touchpoints across India. The brand claims that more than 4.5 lakh customers will be benefited.
These new charging points of the Bolt will be linked to the Hero Electric app and website. It will help in locating the charging station, booking slots and providing a one-stop solution for payments. Additionally, around 2,000 Hero electric scooter buyers will be able to avail the services of Bolt charging units installed at their homes.

As per the companies statement, the Bolt charging network is hardware agnostic and will integrate with any charging solution provider in the country.
Hero Electric and Bolt will also do a pilot for an IoT tracking solution for their vehicles.
