Google announced earlier this week that it is starting to open up access to its Generative AI-powered search. New Search brings the power of generative AI to search results, providing new perspectives and insights without requiring users to break down their queries into simple queries.
While searching, users will see new blocks with details about the topic with related links and users can ask follow-up questions. This is in line with Microsoft’s new Bing Chat.
These features are currently in the testing phase and interested users can join the Google Search Lab to try out these experiments. Including Search Generative Experience, Code Tips and Add to Sheets.
If an interested user has already signed up for the waiting list in Google Search Labs, they will be notified by email when they can start testing the Labs experiment. In addition, users can also engage in these experiments by tapping on the Labs icon in the latest version of the Google app on both Android and iOS, or in the Chrome desktop.

Step-by-Step Guide to Join the Google Search Labs Waitlist

Step 2: Open google labs Page.
Step 3: Scroll down and click on Google Search Join the waiting list.
Step 4: Click Sign in to continue (if you are not signed in).
Step 4: Verify your Google Account credentials.
Step 5: Check Opt in to receive email updates about Search Labs option if you want to receive updates.
You will receive a confirmation after completing the above steps.
