Google’s long-rumored foldable phone has been a hot topic for months, and a flood of renders and mockups have given us a rough idea of what that device will look like. Even though we still don’t have any confirmation on its launch, the Google Pixel Fold has been leaked in a real-life video for the first time. Unless we’re being told otherwise, someone has shared a hands-on video of what they say is Google’s first foldable phone.

A quick glance at the video makes you realize that it is an unannounced foldable phone. But there’s also no way to tell if it’s the real Google Pixel Fold. In the video, the device folds in the middle just like the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold. Several rumors have said that the folding mechanism of Google’s foldable phone will be similar to Samsung’s, but this is the only connection between those rumors and what we can see in the video.

There’s no logo on the phone, no elements in the design that resemble Pixel phones in general, and there’s even the signature camera visor that’s instantly recognisable. It is just a foldable phone with not too thick but asymmetrical bezels around the inner display and a camera on the punch-hole of the outer display. The sides of the phone are rounded, but that’s as good a sign that it’s a Google phone as it is a Samsung phone design element. The only – and perhaps the smallest – clue is the font of the time stamp. This is the Google Product Sans font we see in the Pixel UI.

But we are reporting about the video and believe that it could indeed be Google’s foldable phone as it comes from trusted tipster and developer Kuba Wojciechowski. With a good track record of sharing Google related news, Wojciechowski Said Verge that the phone in the video is actually the Pixel Fold and the video is over a month old. So maybe it is an unfinished product and by the time it launches, Google will have it ready for the market.

Tipster Jon Prosser said that the Google Pixel Fold will arrive at the upcoming Google I/O which starts on May 10 but its sales will start in June. He also said that the Pixel Fold could cost $1,700 and have a 7.6-inch display, Google Tensor G2 chipset, and a battery that can last up to 24 hours on a single charge.
