Google Pixel 7a launch hinted at by Amazon: There could be two Pixel 7a phones

Google launched the Pixel 7 series earlier this month, which includes two models, the Google Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro. Now that the two flagship devices are here, Google is due to release two more, including the foldable Pixel phone and the Google Pixel 7a. The latter is almost confirmed as Amazon is allowing global users to subscribe for the phone’s announcement.

Google Pixel 7a can be a series with more than one phone

Amazon is now allowing certain users to subscribe (via gsmArena) for “Google Pixel 7a family launch announcement”. Note that it says ‘family’, which could mean there is more than one Pixel 7a. It could be the Pixel 7a XL, who knows?

So far, it has been revealed that the Google Pixel 7a is codenamed “Felix” and will have a smaller display than the regular Pixel 7. The size of the display will be around 6.0 by 6.1 inches.

No further information has been revealed about the phone yet. Also, it seems too early, as the Pixel 6a has only been around for a few months. It was initially launched in July and is currently selling for less than Rs 35,000 in India.

Google hasn’t confirmed anything about the Pixel 7a yet, but since the Amazon page hinted at a possible announcement, the launch could be near. The device is rumored to launch in early 2023, but we’ll see how it goes.

The Google Pixel 7a will definitely come with a new design. It will have a Pixel 7-like design that will offer an upgrade over the Pixel 6a. The new Tensor chip is also likely to be inside the phone. Dual cameras and punch-hole display are expected.
